Several spells of showers may occur in Eastern province during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75mm are likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Kurunegala districts.
Winds will be south-westerly to south-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
