Several spells of showers may occur in Northern, Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
Winds will be south-westerly in direction in the sea areas and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Chilaw via Kankasanthurai and Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, North-western and North-central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Southern province and in Rathnapura, Monaragala and Kaluthara districts after 2.00 p.m. Mainly fair weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Due to the influence of the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and North-central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Therefore, general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
