Several spells of light showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Eastern and Uva Provinces during the evening or night.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota district.
Winds will be south-westerly in direction in the sea areas and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph.
Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle and up to (55-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Mullaitivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Mullaitivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be rough at times while the sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle may be fairly rough at times. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. A few showers may occur in the Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central province and in Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
