Save the Children donates oxygen therapy equipment and PPEs to Health Ministry
Save the Children has donated a consignment of Oxygen therapy equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Ministry of Health to help combat the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Having received a request from the Health Ministry, Save the Children has donated Oxygen Therapy Equipment and PPEs, comprising oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders and connectors and disposable gloves and three-ply surgical masks for health officials worth Rs. 18,535,000-Save the Children’s National Director- Julian Chellappah, Director for Programmes & Operations Ahila, Thillainathan and Director for Policy Advocacy & Research- Ranjan Weththasinghe, Health Minister Pavithra Devi Wanniarachchi, Additional Secretary (Public Health Services) – Dr. (Mrs.) T.L.C. Somatunga, and Secretary / Ministry of Health Dr. S.H. Munasinghe were present at the handing over.
