Sampanthan, Wimal, Champika ready to join all-party govt.
TNA leader R Sampanthan, NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa and Patali Champika Ranawaka have expressed their willingness to join an all-party government.
Weerawansa and Ranawaka, in response to a letter by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, have written that they are willing to join an all-party government to save the country.
Sampanthan has said an all-party government is a prerequisite for a process to find solutions for the national question and, therefore, his party would join the process.
Commenting on the letter sent by the President, inviting all MPs to join to form an all-party government, Sampanthan said that they still could not respond, in writing, to the invitation, yet the party had decided to participate in a conference to be held by the President and extend his party’s fullest support.
Sampanthan has said that their standpoint, too, is that the prevailing crises could not be addressed without an all-party government.
