Half tons from Kamil Mishara [78 off 53] and Avishka Fernando [66 off 36] and three wicket hauls from Mohamed Shiraz [3/18] and Dunith Wellalage [3/21] helped Jaffna Kings crush Kandy Royals by 93 runs in the 13th match of the Lanka Premier League played at Dambulla on Sunday [26].

With this win Jaffna Kings rise to third spot with six points while Kandy Royals were pushed down to the bottom of the table.

Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) secured a convincing nine-wicket victory over the National Savings Bank (NSB) in the Janasathu Seva Division I Cricket Tournament, thanks to a superb batting performance by Sachindra Rupasinghe. Batting first, NSB were bowled out for 170 runs. Bhanuka Wanigasekara scored 46, while Janaka Manjula contributed 48.

For Sri Lanka Insurance, Nalin Prabodh was the standout bowler with figures of 3 for 39. Muditha Iduwara claimed 2 for 14, while Nalin Maduranga also picked up 2 wickets for 39.

In reply, Sri Lanka Insurance comfortably chased down the target, reaching 174 for 1 in just 20.4 overs. Sachindra Rupasinghe led the chase with a brilliant 93 runs, while Manoj Nishantha remained unbeaten on 52. Shehan Vimukthi added an unbeaten 18 as Sri Lanka Insurance completed a dominant nine-wicket victory.
