Royal Cashews awarded Gold at Industrial Excellence Awards 2023

Royal Cashews, a Sri Lankan company empowering local cashew cultivators, and has reached greater heights in local and international markets, won the Gold Award in the Snacks and Confectionery Product category at the National Industrial Excellence Awards organised by the Industrial Development Board (IDB). The award ceremony was recently held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in Colombo under the patronage of the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Minister of Health and Industries Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, the State Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Prasanna Ranaweera, the State Minister of Primary Industries Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, and the Chairman of the IDB Dr. Saranga Alahapperuma.

As the first cashew processing company in Sri Lanka, the company has been awarded certificates of standardisation such as the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Standard Certification, the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems Standard Certification, the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certifications.
