Rotaract Club of Kelaniya Uni empowers farmers with drone technology

The Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya successfully concluded the second phase of its AgroAcres project on April 9, 2025, at the Katupotha Agrarian Office in Kurunegala. The workshop introduced 63 farmers to drone-based fertilization technology, aiming to boost efficiency and productivity in agriculture. Conducted in collaboration with Sumthi IT Company, the session featured both theoretical and practical components. Farmers received coconut plant vouchers from gift partner Tropicoir Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. AgroAcres continues to bridge traditional farming with modern innovation, contributing to sustainable agricultural development in Sri Lanka.
