Record-breaking entries at Effie Awards Sri Lanka 2024 signals country’s marketing prowess
The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) announced a significant increase in entries for the Effie Awards Sri Lanka 2024, reflecting the industry’s growing emphasis on marketing strategies that deliver tangible results. With 250 entries submitted, a notable 39% rise from 2023, this year’s awards showcase the strength of Sri Lanka’s marketing industry and its commitment to effective marketing communications.
Gayan Perera, President of SLIM said, “This year’s significant increase in entries underscores the growing recognition of the Effie Awards as a pivotal platform for showcasing innovative and impactful marketing strategies. As the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka, SLIM is proud to host such a prestigious event that not only celebrates outstanding achievements but also elevates the standards and quality of marketing practices across the industry.”

To support participating agencies, the Effie Awards 2024 Committee organized three workshops led by industry experts. These sessions offered valuable guidance on crafting winning entries, including developing compelling video case studies and effectively utilizing research data. Further, participants were provided ample time for preparing strong submissions, especially taking into consideration the intensity of their ongoing work.
