PMD assures uninterrupted power from 05 March
Dissident attends meet
The President’s Media Division yesterday (02) assured that there wouldn’t be power cuts from March 5. The assurance was given following a meeting President Rajapaksa had with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Ministers Basil Rajapaksa, Gamini Lokuge, Udaya Gammanpila, Johnston Fernando, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Ramesh Pathirana, State Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, Central Bank Governor, Secretary to the President, Principal Advisor to the President, Secretaries of line Cabinet and State Ministries, the Heads and officials of Institutions were present at the discussion.
Assuring that the distribution of fuel would be normalized today (3), the PMD urged the public not to collect fuel.
Having attended the meeting at the Presidential Secretariat, Minister Gammanpila rushed to Monarch Hotel, Sri Jayewardenapura, Kotte, where he joined the rebel group now pursuing an agenda contrary to that of the SLPP.
