‘One World, One Community’ is a song, on the lines of Michael Jackson’s ‘We Are The World,’ that has been put together by the Moratuwa Arts Forum (MAF).

Veteran musician, Priya Peiris, was responsible for the concept, composition and the music.

Says Priya, of ‘Cock-A-Doodle-Do’ fame: “While languishing at home during the lockdown, last year, I thought a meaningful song, sung collectively by all Moratuwa artistes, would be most worthwhile.” And that’s what got him into action.

The entire group of western singers, who are members of the Forum, numbering 54 artistes – both seasoned professionals, along with their young counterparts – enthusiastically came together to be a part of ‘One World, One Community.’

The artistes involved include Lincoln De Silva , Chandral Fonseka, Sureshni Wanigasuriya, Dr. Manella Joseph, Sunil and Piyal Perera, Sureni De Mel, Chandanie Freddie Silva, Kumar Fernando, Lankika Perera, Priya Peiris, Nalin, Shirmila and Sahani Fernando, Delvin and Lucille Pereira, Anuradha Mack, Lucky Deva, Rajiv Sebastian, Shenya Napthalie, Lakmal Peiris, Sarath Goonewardena, Hemaka Fernando, Rollinson Ferdinando, Melantha Perera, Sumangi Jayaweera, Eranjan and Viranjan Perera, Lilanthi Jayaratne, Sachith Peiris, Ruth de Silva, Tilak Perera, Nihal Fernando, Pradeep Fernando, Sarana Gunaratne, Lakruwani Fernando, Brian Coorey, Erinton Perera, Shiraz Sudhar, Pimal Fernando, Ramani Soysa, Sahani and Vindhya Fernando, Geethaka and Stephanie Fonseka, Malathi Perera, Pathum and Roshelle Gunawardena, Frankie, Jerome, Sherantha Perera and Nipun Tharumal .
