Old girls of Ave Maria, St. Bridget’s shine at Shepherdian Netball Encounter
The inaugural Shepherdian Netball Encounter was worked off recently with the participation of St. Bridget’s Convent, Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena, Good Shepherd Convent Kandy, St. Lawrence’s Convent, Ave Maria Convent, Negombo and St. Thomas’ Girls School, Matale. The tournament organized by the Iris de Silva Memorial Fund, affiliated to St Bridget’s Convent was conducted at the Sports Ministry Grounds.

Over 40: Ave Maria champions and runners up Good Shepherd, Kotahena
Under 40: Good Shepherd, Kotahena champions and Ave Maria runners up
Under 20: St. Bridget’s champions, Good Shepherd Convent, Panadura runners up
Under 16: St. Bridget’s champions and Good Shepherd, Kandy runners up In the under 16 and 20 groups, St. Thomas Girls school and AMC were the second runners up, respectively.
