MullenLowe Group wins ‘Effie Agency of the Year’ for 2024, dominates Effie Awards

MullenLowe Group (MLG) has once again been named ‘Effie Agency of the Year’ for the second consecutive year at the Effie Awards 2024, held on February 13 at the Monarch Imperial in Colombo. The prestigious award follows MLG’s outstanding performance, securing 13 accolades for its clients, including Unilever Sri Lanka, which won both ‘Marketer of the Year’ and ‘Brand of the Year.’

This year’s Effie Awards saw 250 entries from 20 agencies across 24 categories. MLG’s major wins included accolades for Unilever Sri Lanka, Atlas Axillia, and Haleon Lanka. Executive Chairman, Thayalan Bartlett, praised the team’s resilience, highlighting the exceptional work developed during challenging times amidst the financial crisis. MLG’s consistent dominance over the past decade, having won ‘Agency of the Year’ seven times, reflects its creativity and the value it delivers to brands.

Harendra Uyanage, Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director, added that the brands that thrived were those that embraced purpose during tough times, proving the importance of emotional connections with consumers.
