Madushani, Arthavidu reach entry standards for World Junior Championships

Nannapurawa MV, Bibila athlete Madushani Herath and high jumper Lesandu Arthavidu reached entry standards for the World Junior Athletics Championships at the National Athletics Championship at Diyagama on Wednesday.
Herath who also won the women’s long jump bagged the triple jump gold with a feat of 13.13 metres. Entry standard for the World event is set at 12.9 metres.
Arthavidu meanwhile cleared 2.13 metres to win the second place of the men’s high jump.
Entry standard for the high jump is set at 2.13 metres.
