Landslide Early Warnings issued to the Districts of Badulla, Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Moneragala, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura
The Landslide Early Warning Center of the National Building Research Organisation [NBRO] has issued landslide early warnings to the Districts of Badulla, Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Moneragala, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura from 16:00 hrs on 30.11.2025 to 16:00 hrs on 01.12.2025.
Accordingly,
LEVELIII [RED] warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secretaries Divisions and surrounding areas of Uva Paranagama, Haldummulla, Welimada, Passara, Soranathota, Ella, Badulla, Lunugala, Kandeketiya, Meegahakivula, Bandarawela, Haputhale and Hali_Ela in the Badulla district, Pasukka and Seethawaka in the Colombo district, Udunuwara, Pasbage Korale, Panvila, Doluwa, Akurana, Thumpane, Hatharaliyadda, Ududumbara, Yatinuwara, Pathadumbara, Kundasale, Deltota, Medadumbara, Pathahewaheta, Gangawata Korale, Harispattuwa, Poojapitiya, Ganga Ihala Korale, Udapalatha and Minipe in the Kandy district, Galigamuwa, Mawanella, Yatiyanthota, Dehiowita, Bulathkohupitiya, Rambukkana, Warakapola, Aranayaka, Ruwanwella, Deraniyagala and Kegalle in the Kegalle district, Mawathagama, Mallawapitiya, Alawwa, Narammala, Polgahawela and Rideegama in the Kurunegala district, Pallepola, Rattota, Yatawatta, Naula, Laggala Pallegama, Ukuwela, Matale, Wilgamuwa And Ambanganga Korale in the Matale district, and Hanguranketha, Mathurata, Nuwara Eliya, Thalawakele, Walapane, Nildandahinna, Norwood, Ambagamuwa and Kotmale West, Kotmale East in the Nuwara Eliya district.
LEVEL II [AMBER] warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secretaries Divisions and surrounding areas of Attanagalla in the Gampaha district, Bulathsinhala, Horana and Ingiriya in the Kalutara district, Bibila and Medagama in the Moneragala district, and Kiriella, Imbulpe, Kahawaththa, Kuruwita, Godakawela, Ayagama, Pelmadulla, Openayake, Elapatha, Ratnapura, Nivithigala, Kolonna, Kalawana, Balangoda and Eheliyagoda in the Ratnapura district.
LEVEL I [YELLOW] warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secretaries Divisions and surrounding areas of Maharagama, Homagama, Kaduwela and Kesbewa in the Colombo district, Mirigama, Divulapitiya, Biyagama and Dompe in the Gampaha district, Mathugama, Walallawita, Palindanuwara and Agalawatta in the Kalutara district, Badalkumbura and Wellawaya in the Monaragala district, and Kiriella, Imbulpe, Kahawaththa, Kuruwita, Godakawela, Ayagama, Pelmadulla, Openayake, Elapatha, Ratnapura, Nivithigala, Kolonna, Kalawana, Balangoda and Eheliyagoda in the Ratnapura district.

Dambulla Sixers hand Galle Gallants first defeat in LPL 2026
Dambulla Sixers powered by an all-round performance from Marques Ackerman [2-27 and 35] and an unbeaten 64 off 37 balls from Reeza Hendricks handed the Galle Gallants their first defeat in LPL 2026. The match, the 8th game in LPL 2026 was played on Wednesday [22nd July] at Dambulla. The Gallants used nine bowlers but were unable to restraint the Dambulla batsmen who won with six wickets in hand 23 balls remaining.
