Landslide Early Warnings issued to Colombo, Galle, Kalutara, Kegalle, Matara and Ratnapura Districts

The National Building Research Organization has issued landslide early warnings to the districts of Colombo, Galle,  Kalutara, Kegalle, Matara and Rathnapura . The warnings will be  in force until 8pm today (18).

Accordingly,

Level III ‘Red Alert’ s have been issued to the Divisional Secetaries divisions and surrounding areas of  Ingiriya and Bulathsinhala in the Kalutara district and Kalawana, Eheliyagoda and Elapatha in the Ratnapura district.

Level II landslide early warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secetaries divisions and surrounding areas of Yakkalamulla, Neluwa, Elpitiya and Nagoda in the Galle district,  Horana and Mathugama in the Kalutara district, Warakapola, Yatiyanthota, Deraniyagala, Bulayhkohupitiya, Ruwanwella and Dehiowita in the Kegalle district,  Pitabeddara in the Matara district  and Kirkella, Rathnapura,  Kuruwitea, Ayagama and Nivitigala in the Ratnapura district.

Level I landslide early warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secetaries divisions and surrounding areas of Seethawaka in the Colombo district,  Agalawatta, Dodangoda, Palindanuwara and Walallavita in the Kalutara district,  Galigamuwa,  Kegalle and Aranayake in the Kegalle district,  Athureliya in the Matara district and Pelmadulla in the Ratnapura district.
