Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena was sworn in as the Governor of the Southern Province while Nazeer Ahamed was sworn in as the Governor of the North-western Province by President Ranil Wickremesinghe this (02) morning.

Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena previously served as the Governor of the North Western Province.
