Kerala ganja haul with a street value of Rs 63 mn detected
The Navy has seized 212 kilos of Kerala ganja with a street value of Rs 63 mn, during an operation conducted at Norochcholai, Puttalam, in the early hours of yesterday (06).
Navy headquarters said that naval personnel had intercepted a van carrying 97 parcels of Kerala ganja, arrested a person and taken the vehicle into custody. The Navy identified the suspect as a 32-year-old resident of Colombo 14 and he was accompanied by a six-year-old girl. They were handed over to Norochcholai police for further investigations.
