KANDOS wins National Excellence Award

KANDOS Chocolates, the Brand now renowned throughout Sri Lanka as the outstanding confectionary product for its excellence, won the National Industry Excellence Award – 2022.

Under the category ‘Processed Food And Rice-related Industries’, Kandos, was outstanding to win the award.

Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa awarding the trophy to Factory Manager, Ceylon Chocolates Ltd. Thilan Gunarathna, congratulated the company for maintaining high industry standards.

The exhibition was held from 3rd to 6th February at the Bandaranaike International Conference Hall.

Ceylon Chocolates, since its inception 60 years ago, with its manufacturing plant, located in Kundasale, owes its success to its founders, including the iconic Upali Wijewardena.

The Kandos vision, ‘Bean to Bar,’ is focus to ensure that Kandos is the exclusive chocolate, produced wholly locally, and not dependent on imports for its production.

The ‘Bean to Bar’ concept is that the cocoa bean, grown locally, is the main ingredient put together in manufacturing the delicious, end product, famously known as Kandos.

Kandos is the leading Chocolate Brand that was judged the most outstanding product under the specific category, attracting outstanding comments from the Panel of Judges.
