Justice Minister proposes shutting down parliamentary website to clear all its cobwebs
Justice and National Unity Minister Harshana Nanayakkara proposed in Parliament yesterday that the parliamentary website be temporarily shut for its errors to be rectified.
Minister Nanayakkara also said that there were errors in details of MPs provided in the official website.
The Minister said that it was a good sign people were starting to question the educational qualifications of the MPs. In the past, people asked questions about corruption and illegal acts of MPs. This has changed now. We have been able to elevate democracy to European standards,” Minister Nanayakkara said.
