It’s baila time again…
That’s exactly what Rajiv Sebastian has worked out for music lovers, and his fans…his very own composition, titled ‘Come Let’s Dance, It’s Baila Time Again.’
The song is in English but Rajiv is keen to mix the English lyrics with a line or two in Sinhala and Tamil and get the Batticaloa Burghers doing the chorus, in their language.
Rajiv is involved in the lyrics, melody, and music arrangements and says the song will be kind of unique and predicts it will be a hit.
Rajiv and The Clan perform every Tuesday night, at the Sky Lounge, The Kingsbury. However, this week, they will be doing the Friday night scene (04 Aug.)
The third most senior western band after the Gypsies and Sohan and The X-Periments, Rajiv and The Clan will also be seen in action at Vistas, Movenpick Hotel, every last Friday of the month.
Celebrating 33 years in showbiz, the band is led by the versatile singer/ composer Rajiv Sebastian, and includes Disnaka Dhanasekara (keyboards), Tharindu Perera (drums), Duleepa Peiris (bass), and Chathumal Gunathilaka (lead guitar)
