The 29th Annual General Meeting of The Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives (SLAAR), was held recently at Kingsbury Hotel Colombo.

The event was graced by CEO of Sri Lankan Airlines – Mr. Richard Nuttel and it was well attended by the dignitaries of the Industry, the Regulatory Authorities, SriLankan Airlines, and all other Member Airlines, representing both passenger and Cargo Airlines in Sri Lanka.

SLAAR was founded on the 22nd of June 1993, to provide offline Airline General Sales Agents (GSA) with a forum to take up industry related issues, policies and matters arising from representations. The scope of the Association was later expanded to include online GSAs of Passenger and Cargo representatives.

The Association has earned itself a reputation for being a vibrant entity that safeguards the interests of the industry and its members.

SLAAR will continue to focus and work together with the industry stakeholders to face any challenges the industry may encounter in an efficient manner, whilst continuing to support the country by ensuring that the foreign carriers continue to operate and increase frequency to Sri Lanka, to bring in the much-needed tourists to the country.

A key objective of the Association is also to continue providing training and development for staff members of the industry and to support various CSR projects for the benefit of the community.
