Fairly heavy showers about 75mm can be expected at some places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Southern province and in Rathnapura and Monaragala districts after 2.00 p.m. while fair weather will prevail over other areas of the island.
