Showery condition is expected to enhance in the Northern, North-central, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces in next few days from today (17 February).

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota district. Heavy showers  about 100 mm are likely at some places in the Eastern, Uva and North-central provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershower

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in Mullaittivu and Polonnaruwa districts after 1.00 p.m.
