Head-on collision between lorry and bus leaves 20 people injured
A head-on collision between a bus and a lorry on the Colombo-Avissawella road at Embulgama, Hanwella, resulted in over 20 people being injured yesterday (09) morning. The police have reported that at least 22 individuals, including the drivers of both vehicles, were promptly transported to Homagama and Nawagamuwa hospitals.
The lorry involved in the accident was travelling from Colombo to Avissawella, while the bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) was on its way from Akkaraipattu to Colombo. The Hanwella Police are investigating the incident, aiming to gather more information and determine the cause of the collision.
