By Norman Palihawadane
Galle Bishop Raymond Wickramasinghe says that the denial of justice to the Easter Sunday carnage victims was an insult to humanity.
Addressing the 115th Feast of the Shrine of Our Lady of Matara, Bishop Wickramasinghe said justice for the victims of the Easter Sunday tragedy should not be delayed further. “Failure to do so is an insult to the entire humanity,” he said.
Delivering the homily, at the festive High Mass, where he prayed for the victims and families of the Easter attack, he said that at a recently held service of the Sick, His holiness Pope had expressed his concern over the delay in delivering justice to the Easter Sunday carnage victims. “As Christians we have a right and duty to raise a voice against the brutal terror that took place on Easter Sunday 2019, killing 267 people and injuring many others.
