Fairly heavy showers likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 50mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Matara via Galle in the evening or night.
Winds will be variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30)kmph.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Colombo, Galle and Matara can be fairly rough at times. The other sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Several spells of showers may occur in the Western and North-western provinces.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in thev Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Monaragala, Hambantota and Matale districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
