Fairly heavy showers likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Several spells of light showers will occur in Northern and Eastern provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in North-central, Central and Uva provinces and at several places elsewhere of the island after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Winds will be easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (15-30) kmph
The sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa, provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Several spells of showers will occur in the North-western province.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Monaragala, Hambantota and Matale districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
