Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts while several spells of showers may occur in North-central province and in Mannar and Hambantota districts Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts.
Strong winds of about 50 kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts while fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times elsewhere of the island

Due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, cloudy skies are expected over the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Uva provinces, with showers or thundershowers occurring at times.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other parts of the Island after 1.00 p.m.
Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-central and North-western provinces.
