Emergency donation to NHSL
The Heart to Heart Trust Fund, in collaboration with Swire Shipping Pte. Ltd., has donated emergency equipment valued at over one million rupees to the Operating Theater at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (NHSL).
On behalf of the Trust Fund, its Trustees Dr. Rajitha De Silva, Dr. Mahendra Munasinghe, Dr. Kumudini Ranatunga, and Executive Coordinator Mrs. Shanti Fernando and the theatre staff presented these emergency items to the Deputy Director General of the NHSL, Dr. W. K. Wickramasinghe.
The Trust Fund expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to Swire Shipping Company for their $2,000 generous donation to the Heart to Heart Trust Fund, a Sri Lankan charity organisation selected by Captain Vimar, who received the MD award in 2023, as his preferred beneficiary.
Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Mahendra Munasinghe, who keenly initiated the intervention, extended his heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this possible.
This act of kindness is something we can all take pride in, he said.
