Mainly fair weather will prevail over sea areas around the island.
Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
A few showers may occur in the North-central and Eastern provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces and in
Hambantota district.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, North-western and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
