A few showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other parts of the island.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Rathnapura, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-western and Southern provinces and in Anuradhapura and Mannar districts after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
