Dog too dies in Delft killing spree

A dog that lived in the house of the six elderly persons who were killed in Delft, Jaffna, recently and was also severely wounded by the attacker died on Wednesday night.The attacker had stabbed the dog with a knife, police said. The bodies of five people were found in a house in Akuruthurei, Delft, on Saturday (22) afternoon.
Police believe that the murders took place in the early hours of Saturday or Friday night. The police arrested a suspect who had recently returned to Jaffna after being deported from Germany.On Friday (27) a 100-year-old woman, who was being treated at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for the injuries she suffered, too passed away.
