Cooling face masks to beat the heat
* Yoghurt and Watermelon:
Blend a few medium size watermelon cubes with a cup of unflavoured yoghurt. Use a brush to apply this mixture on your face and other sunburned area. Wait for 20 minutes and then wash off.
* Aloe Vera and Lemon Juice:
Take 02 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and add 02 tsp of fresh lemon juice into it, or scrape some fresh gel from an aloe vera plant. Mix and cover your face with this mixture (avoiding your eyes). Wash face after 20 minutes.
* Cucumber and Honey:
Shred one clean and fresh cucumber and add 01 tablespoon of honey into it. Mix and apply all across the face. Relax and let the skin soak in the goodness. Wash off after 30 minutes.
* Pumpkin:
Mix 02 tablespoons of pureed pumpkin with ½ teaspoon honey and ½ teaspoon milk. Slather it on your face for 10 minutes and then wash off to reveal radiant skin.
* Sugar:
Add a few drops of olive oil to a bowl (container) and add a little honey and sugar and mix well. To make the scrub more nourishing, break a capsule of vitamin E and add to the mixture. Apply the mixture on your face and gently scrub in a circular motion. Rinse with water.
* Potato:
Mix an equal quantity of potato juice and lemon juice. If you have dry skin, add a teaspoon of honey to the mixture. Apply it all over your face and neck and let it stay for 15 minutes. Rinse for glowing skin.
* Carrot and Honey:
Boil 02-03 carrots and mash them completely. Add 02-03 teaspoons of honey to it. Apply this mix on your face and neck. After 15 minutes, wash it off. This mask is great for sensitive skin.
* Papaya, Banana and Cucumber:
Blend 1/4th papaya, 1/4th cucumber and half a banana, together, to form a smooth paste. Apply this on your face and neck and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
