CIPM Sri Lanka and Vavuniya University sign path-breaking MOU
Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM Sri Lanka) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Vavuniya to promote the prospects of human resource principles, exchange and establish linkages to advance knowledge and practice in the field. The agreement was signed between Jayantha Amarasinghe President of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Dr T. Mangeleswaran, Vice-Chancellor, Vavuniya University.
Present to witness this momentous occasion were G. Weerathunga, Chief Officer/Director, Professional and Academic Affairs, Jayantha Abeyrathna, Treasurer, Col. (Retd) Saman Jayawickrama, Council Member, and Thiruchelvam Krishanth, Executive, Media and Digital Marketing from CIPM SL. Dr Y. Nadagopan, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, S. Harikaran, Head/Department of Human Resource and MRF Aqeela Ijas, Lecturer (Prob) in HRM, and many other academic and non-academic staff members and students from the University of Vavuniya were also present. Under the agreement pursuing common interests, CIPM and the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) of the University will develop mechanisms for institutional collaboration towards the advancement of human resources, where both parties will promote and develop principles, techniques and practices of Human Resource Management (HRM), while utilizing and optimizing opportunities at National and International levels.
