China donates essential medicines to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children
The Sri Lanka – China Friendship Association donated essential medicines worth Rs. 1.5 million to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children in collaboration with the Shanghai Magnolia Foundation for International Exchange of China.
A ceremony to mark the donation was held recently at the auditorium of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. Chen Xiangyuan, Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, was the Chief Guest. Dr. D. R. K. Herath, Deputy Director General, Medical Supplies of the Ministry of Health Sri Lanka, Dr. Udara Gunathilaka, Senior Registrar of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sachithri Dharmarathna, Medical Officer Planning (LRH), Manel Harischandra, Chief Nursing Officer (LRH), Aruna Goonatilleke, Vice President SLCFA, and Gamini Rajanayake, Treasurer, SLCFA, were also present.
