Celebrating languages at the BCIS!
The Annual Language Certificate Awards Ceremony of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) was held on 24 February 2025 at the BMICH. Nearly 300 students who have successfully completed language courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tamil and Sinhala received their certificates at this event.
Madame Maria Popova, Director of the Russian House and the First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Sri Lanka and Prof. Naazima Kamardeen, Chair Professor and Head, Department of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law of the University of Colombo were the Guests of Honour at this event. Ms. Cécile Hoorelbeke, Director of the Alliance Française de Kotte and Ms. Ji Lili, Chinese Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China were also present at this ceremony.
