Ashlin, Yuhansa win ATF Under 16 week II singles titles
Ashlin de Silva and Yuhansa Peiris emerged victorious in the Under 16 boys’ and girls’ singles finals respectively of the ATF Under 16 week II tournament continued at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo.
In the girls’ final the Bishop’s College player Yuhansa overcame a first set defeat to beat Divya Ungrish of India 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
She reached the final after eliminating India’s Tejasyi Kotti 6-0, 6-0 in the semi-final.
In the boys’ final, St. Peter’s College Colombo player Ashlin de Silva beat Rehan Gunawardhana 6-4 in the first set before the latter retired in the second set.
