Arrest warrant issued against MP Archchuna
In connection with 2021 incident:
Colombo Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake yesterday (26) ordered the arrest of newly elected Jaffna District MP Dr. Archchuna Ramanathan, pertaining to an incident that occurred on Baseline Road, Colombo, in 2021.
The Magistrate directed that the order be executed through the Senior Superintendent of Police in Jaffna.
This order was issued during the hearing of an ongoing case yesterday (26) regarding an alleged incident of assaulting an individual after causing a traffic accident on Baseline Road, Colombo, in 2021.
