The highly anticipated Award Ceremony for the NCUK International Foundation Year and APIIT Sri Lanka Foundation took place last week (12) at the Monarch Imperial Ballroom, Jayewardenepura with Business Development Director – NCUK Maria McKenna attending as the chief guest, said a press release.
It said: The APIIT Sri Lanka Foundation offers three specialized streams: Computing, Business, and Law, aimed at preparing students not only for undergraduate education but also for life. These meticulously designed programs cater to the specific requirements of the corresponding degree programs from Staffordshire University, UK, delivered at APIIT.
The Foundation Programme offered by APIIT presents a valuable opportunity for students with GCE O/L qualifications who may not intend to pursue GCE A/L studies or those with inadequate GCE A/L qualifications. By offering an alternative pathway to higher education, APIIT has opened doors for a diverse range of students to pursue their academic aspirations in their chosen field.
APIIT holds the distinction of being the first Sri Lankan institute to offer the NCUK IFY, a recognized qualification that facilitates the transition from secondary to tertiary education.
APITT Chairman Bandula Egodage APIIT’s commitment to fostering a culture of academic excellence, and the ceremony served as a testament to the institution’s dedication to providing students with exceptional educational opportunities. The event marked the beginning of a promising journey for the talented individuals who are now equipped with the knowledge, skills, and determination to succeed in their chosen fields.
