Under 18 Boys’ 800 metres heats

The Athletics Championship of the Western Province Schools Games commenced at the Sugathadasa Stadium on Wednesday. Here are some action pictures from day one of the event. (Pix by Nishan S. Priyantha)

Themiya Bimsara of Karunaratne Buddhist MV won the Under 18 Boys’ javelin throw with a throw of 57.24 metres.
Vishwa Nimsara of Lyceum International School, Wattala won the Under 14 Boys’ long jump with a new meet record mark.
Jerril Philips of Lyceum International School, Wattala competes in the Under 20 boys’ discus throw. Philips established a new meet record.
