Abans donates LG anti-virus dual cool inverter ACs to care centre

Abans recently launched the ‘Pivithuru Husmak – Saukkyarakshitha Hetak’ initiative by donating LG Anti-Virus Dual Cool Inverter Air Conditioners to the Meethotamulla Intermediate Care Centre operating under the National Hospital of Colombo, to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka.

The donation programme took place on 07th of September 2021 at the Abans Elite Showroom, Kollupitiya. Shehan Buhari, Manager of Abans Elite Showroom – Kollupitiya, officially handed over the air conditioners to Dr. Dhammika Adhikariwattage, President of the Rotary Club of Sri Jayawardenapura. Conducted at the special request of Dr. Thushara Mathiwalage, who is in charge of the Public Health Unit and Covid-19 Coordinator – Colombo National Hospital, this donation aims to increase the provision of modern facilities to the health services as urgently required to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic.

Abans carried out a similar project previously under the title of ‘Pivithuru Husmak – Saukkyarakshitha Hetak’, by donating LG Anti-Virus Dual Cool Inverter Air Conditioners which were installed in the general wards, intensive care units and operating theatres of selected hospitals in the Anuradhapura district.
