A few showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Rathnapura, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.

The low-level atmospheric disturbance still persists in the vicinity of Sri Lanka. Under the influence of the system, cloudy skies and showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces, and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places. elsewhere of the island after 1.00 p.m.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
