Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts while showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the afternoon or night.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva, North-western and North-central provinces and in Mannar and Vavuniya districts during the early hours of the morning.
Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Hambantota, Nuwara-Eliya and Ampara districts after 2.00 p.m. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other parts of the island.
