Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northern and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota, Monaragala and Trincomalee districts.
Winds will be south-westerly in direction in the sea areas and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph.
Wind speed can increase up to(50-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Galle via Kankasanthurai, Puttalam and Colombo and up to (60-65) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota will be rough or very rough at times while the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Galle via Kankasanthurai, Puttalam and Colombo will be rough at times.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Matale districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Matale districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
