A few showers may occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Matale districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Nuwara-Eliya districts in the evening or night.
Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30)kmph. Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times in Northern, North-central, North-western, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota district. Wind speed may increase up to (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannar and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times.
The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize the damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. A few showers will occur in the North-western province. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
