A few showers may occur in Northern province and in Trincomalee district while showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Western provinces and in Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.
.Winds will be North-easterly or variable in direction over the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for afternoon thundershowers in most parts of the island from today (01).
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most part of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Eastern and North central provinces and in Mannar district.

Showers above 50 mm are likely at some places inthe Uva, Eastern and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 1.00 p.m.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva, Eastern and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the above areas.
A Few shower may occur in the coastal areas of the Western Province and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
