The prevailing showery condition in south-western part of the Island is expected to continue further.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts while fairly heavy showers about 75mm can be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Winds will be south-westerly and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph, .Fairly strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times in Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts while wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil can be rough at times.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in Mullaittivu district after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern and North-central provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
