A few showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts during the evening or night. Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the Island.
Winds will be south-westerly and speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed will increase up to (50-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and up to (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
