Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central, North-Western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
Winds will be south-westerly over the sea areas off the coast extending from Kankasanthurai to Galle via Mannar and Colombo and it will be south-easterly or variable in direction in rest of the sea areas around the island, wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva province and in Polonnaruwa, Mullaitivu, Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Southern, Northern and North-central provinces and in Trincomalee district.
